Phosphor Plate Scanner

Simple

Connect READER directly to your computer and start scanning; three LED lights will indicate the status of the process. READER has an inner power supply adaptor to work from 100 to 220 V. READER does not need big spaces for installation. The whole system is wonderfully compact, measuring 17 x 19 x 30 cm only.

Once you insert the plate into the slot, READER automatically recognizes its size and in few seconds the image appears in the PC.

Plates come with the exclusive double guard system: the hygienic sleeves offer an effective barrier against cross infection and the protective cover helps to extend the plate’s useful life.

The phosphor plates can be reused hundreds of times and are as easy to use as the conventional film.

Preparing the phosphor plates for using

1. Protect the PSP

Use the Trident protective cover. The cover protects the phosphor plate from the harmful effects of light, dust and scratches that would result in a non-diagnostic image. The constant use of the covers improves the phosphor plates’ durability and effectiveness. The covers are available in four sizes and are reusable.

2. Protect your patients

Use the Trident hygienic sleeves. Insert the protective cover with the phosphor plate into the hygienic sleeve. Close the sleeve and place it into the patient’s mouth at the desired position. Using the sleeves prevents cross infection and offers safety and confidence to your patients. The hygienic sleeves are available in four sizes and are single use.

Scan, erase and reuse, all in one easy step.

In a few seconds READER scans and cleans the phosphor plates. The whole process takes around twenty seconds. Insert the PSP into the slot and while a sharp and clear image appears on the screen, an auto-erase function cleans the plate for the next reading.

Now physical files are not required to keep your patients records. Digital images are easily shared and preserved, being always available for review, archive or email.

Phosphor plates

Flexible, thin and wireless, the Trident phosphor plates are easily positionable and comfortable for the patient as the traditional film; they are available in the four most commonly used types, from 0 to 3:

Protective covers

The phosphor plates are susceptible to scratching, ambient light and dust, which could shorten its useful life. To reduce the risk of damage during handling, use the Trident protective covers.

Hygienic bags

To protect patients and dental health care personnel against the risks of cross-infection, use the sleeves every time the plates are in contact with a patient.

Phosphor plate holder and adhesive clips

For easy and convenient use of phosphor plates. The holder adapts to all measurements of phosphor plates; with the help of the adhesive clip, the hygienic cover, which contains the phosphor plate, adheres to the holder keeping it firm and secure

By rotating the holder, it is possible to use it on the upper and lower jaw. The package contains 6 supports (2 bite wings and 4 periapicals), the positioning ring and a pack of 50 adhesive clips.
